Rachel Chew has joined Pos Malaysia as head of digital marketing. She was most recently with Green Packet as senior manager, B2B marketing and also worked at Harvey Norman as marketing manager previously. Meanwhile, Chew (pictured) also has experience in the adland, having worked at Naga DDB Tribal for eight years, last helming the role of brand integration director, as well as Publicis and JWT.
On her LinkedIn, Chew describes herself as someone who values collaboration, teamwork and the growth of each member as well as progressive thinking. She has experience working with brands from various categories, from finance and banking to FMCG, F&B, health and fitness, as well as pharmaceutical.
Separately, the company also beefed up its corporate communications team last month by bringing on board Serina Joon as head of corporate communications. Joon succeeds Sherliza Zaharudin who joined Khazanah Nasional earlier this year. Before Pos, Joon was UOB Malaysia’s country head, strategic communications and brand. She also worked at Khazanah Nasional for five years, last helming the role of VP, corporate communications.
At the same time, its marketing team also saw a leadership shuffle when Fiona Liao took on the reins of group chief marketing and communications officer in February, reporting to group CEO Charles Brewer. She is tasked to reenergise the Pos Malaysia brand and strengthen its brand equity. She took over from Schrene Goh who joined Lazada Malaysia as CMO in January.
